Meet the Team

Janie Mah,
Co-Founder
Janie Mah is a seasoned talent strategist and organizational change leader with over 30 years of experience spanning the public and private sectors. As Co-Founder of Everyday AI for Seniors, she brings her passion for digital equity and lifelong learning to help older adults confidently embrace AI tools in their daily lives. Janie has led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives for global organizations such as Oracle, Cisco, Visa, Uber, and TikTok, specializing in workforce development, leadership coaching, and inclusive learning strategies. A former Apple Classroom of Tomorrow teacher and ed tech consultant, Janie blends her background in education and technology to make innovation accessible, equitable, and engaging. She holds an M.S. in Education/Online Teaching and Learning, is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and is known for her collaborative, human-centered approach — and a good dose of humor.

Sharon Tom,
Co-Founder
With a Business degree from California State University, San Jose, Sharon launched her career in the demanding computer industry. Over ten years, she became adept at analyzing and assessing client needs, designing robust implementation programs, and effectively training users on complex systems. Recognizing a deeper calling, she transitioned from technology to pursue her passion for helping individuals navigate and resolve challenges in their personal and professional relationships. Now a certified mediator, she leveraged her expertise to establish a groundbreaking program with Police Departments in South Alameda County, offering crucial mediation services for community disputes. Complementing her deep desire to helping people, she also dedicates her time to another vital passion: assisting seniors in organizing their homes and personal lives. Having navigated her own experience of taking care of her parents in their elder years, she has devised systems to help families and the medical industry to be knowledgeable and up-to-date on the medical and physically conditions of seniors.

Tim Fisher,
Co-Founder
Tim Fisher is a seasoned Restorative Justice Practitioner, Peer Specialist, and Group Facilitator with extensive experience supporting seniors, the LGBTQIA+ community, and incarcerated individuals. In his current role with the City of Oakland’s Aging & Adult Services, he serves as an Information & Assistance Specialist at the Downtown Oakland Senior Center, helping older adults navigate services, technology, and daily life with greater ease and confidence.A key focus of Tim’s work is empowering seniors to engage safely and confidently with technology. Through personalized support and group trainings, he helps older adults use tools like ChatGPT to avoid fraud, stay connected with family, and remain organized and independent in a digital world.Previously, Tim facilitated peer support groups at The Pacific Center for Human Growth in Berkeley—such as Older & Out and Middlemen—creating affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ seniors and midlife adults. He also led intergenerational dialogues exploring five decades of social progress within the LGBTQIA+ community.His past roles include Constituent Liaison in the Office of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and journalist for San Pablo Avenue News. He serves on the Steering Committee of the Avalon Tenants Advocates in Emeryville and formerly participated in No More Tears, a restorative justice program at San Quentin, engaging in weekly nonviolence circles with incarcerated men.Earlier in his career, Tim ran a public relations firm in the NYC metro area, promoting national educational and social-issue programming for HBO and PBS. He holds certifications in Applied Positive Psychology, Peer Counseling, Group Facilitation, Co-Counseling (CCI), and Cultivating Restorative Communities.
